Properly Weed Eat Your Lawn

February 28, 2015    Proactive Landscaping

Properly Weed Eat Your LawnCurb appeal is very important if you want to catch the attention of your neighbors. Curb appeal includes the color of your home, the up keep of your mail box, and your lawn care. The edges of your lawn, paved areas, fences, and gardens have a big impact on how your home looks. It takes very little effort to keep your edges looking good.

Step 1:

Always wear eye protection. It is very common for a weed eater to throw up objects towards your face. It is very important to keep your pretty face safe. First, check the bottom of the weed eater before starting to see what direction the trim is. You will most likely see an arrow to show you the direction of the trim.

Step 2:

It is time to start the weed eater! Cut going in the direction the weed eater shows to keep from throwing the trimmings at your body. Tilt the trimmer 30 degrees to the left for trimming along walkways, driveways, and curbs. If you are not careful you can easily rip all of the grass away from the curb. Keep the string had about 2 to 3 inches off the ground, and sweep the machine side to side in a stead motion parallel to the ground.

Step 3:

Start from the top of the weeds and cut down. It may take you repeating the process if the weeds have overgrown.
